Q: Who is Vince DelMonte?

Q: I am a female - will this program work for me?

Q: Am I too old to use this program and get a flat stomach?

A: Definitely not! My dad always told me, 'It's never too late..." which can be applied to all aspects of life. Have you seen Jack LaLanne recently? He's like a thousand years old and he looks fantastic! Next time you’re in the gym, look for the leanest and fittest 75-year-old and don’t be surprised if they look like they’re in their 40’s!

I do realize that my site is written to a younger age group but I'm sure you don't need me to convince you that there is plenty of research to show you that maintaining or preventing muscle loss in the ONLY way to trick your body into thinking it's younger and to help reverse the aging process.

I always say that “cardio increases the length of your life but weights increase the quality of your life,” and my program includes both to ensure you optimize your muscle-building and fat-loss hormones, and especially your metabolism.

Q: Am I too young to use this program or to get a six-pack?

A:As long as you’re over the age of 13, know how to read and have someone show you how to perform each exercise properly then I am comfortable and confident in recommending this course to you.

If your mom or dad is unsure about my program, have them email me personally, and I can answer any of their questions. But hopefully you don't need your parents’ permission to live a healthy and active lifestyle! Don't become one of those young, overweight kids who sits on the couch all day and plays video games... that's messed up!

If you’re around 16 years of age I recommend that you start with my bodyweight training program and razor-sharp cardio/ab workouts to boost your conditioning and to prepare your tendons, ligaments and joints before jumping into the 3-day, 4-day or 5-day weight-training programs.

I believe the most important component at your age is EDUCATION. You wouldn’t learn to ski by yourself, would you? You wouldn’t learn to play guitar without any lessons, would you? You wouldn’t learn how to skydive without an instructor, would you?

So why would you lift weights and get into shape without a coach? You wouldn’t - unless you want to hurt yourself and waste your time.

A: Without a shadow of a doubt. Q: Do I have to join a gym to use this program or can I work out at home?

A: This is one of the most popular questions I receive (I had no idea how many people train from home) and yes, you can absolutely do it.

I have you covered with multiple solutions:

1. The 4-week Bodyweight program includes nothing but your own limbs, so you don’t need any equipment at all.

2. The “Home Gym” workout, which I filmed with my good friend John Depass, a former National bodybuilding champion, takes you through a “home gym” workout that includes bodyweight exercises, stability balls, dumbbells, some barbells, bands, medicine balls and benches. We designed the Home Gym workout around the most affordable and common home gym equipment.

3. A lot of my workouts revolve around free weights, bodyweight exercises, cables, bands, BOSU balls, dumbbells, barbells, benches, medicine balls and stability balls. You don’t need a full line of Hammer Strength or Nautilus equipment to do my programs.

4. Every workout includes a digital video of me demonstrating the entire workout - with exercise substitutes throughout.

5. Another incredible bonus you get is my Virtual Trainer, which is an exercise database of more than 100 animated exercises. No matter how little equipment you have at home I have provided an exercise substitute for every exercise that you would do in the gym.

Q: Can I use your program if I am a vegetarian?

A: I am going to tell you straight up that you should definitely order the upgrade package because it includes three 84-day vegetarian meal plans. I don't know of any other site on the Internet that includes a collection of vegetarian meal plans at 1,500, 2,000 and 2,500 calories.

Here are some other thoughts on being a vegetarian and getting a six-pack:

In planning a vegetarian lifestyle, your primary goal is to ensure that you are getting all the essential nutrients for healthy living. You are probably wondering how you will be able to get enough protein.

Get ready to eat a lot of soy which has been ranked right alongside whey and higher than beef for protein quality. It is a complete protein containing all the basic building blocks for muscle growth and recuperation.

Depending on what kind of vegetarian you are, you are probably asking, "What about vitamins?" As a vegan, it would be wise to supplement with extra B-12, iron, calcium, vitamin D and zinc, preferably in a high-quality multivitamin.

My nutrition chapter teaches in great detail how to choose from a variety of grains, legumes, seeds, and vegetables which will provide a full range of amino acids so that an absence of one food will be made up by another.

So to answer your question, even though I did not achieve my own personal results as a vegetarian, I believe it is possible from the research I have studied and the meal plans that I have included.

Q: I am skinny but have a pot belly - can I still get a six-pack?

A: You have the classic 'Skinny Fat Syndrome’ - easy to hide with clothes but not a pretty sight on the beach! The good news is that it’s easily fixed.

Building muscle and losing fat at the same time is too complicated a topic for this section. But it is possible, and my workouts are designed to help you gain the most muscle while cutting fat at the same time.

My philosophy is that you should chase one goal at a time. If you are a male and your body fat is more than 15% or if you are a female and your body fat is more than 24% I suggest you put all your efforts into my six-pack program and try out my No-Nonsense Muscle-Building program once you’ve leaned down to single digit body fat for males and mid teens for females.

You will always look more muscular and toned when your body fat is lower so give this goal your complete attention.

The ‘Skinny Fat Syndrome’ happens to guys (and gals) who are meant to be skinny because of fast metabolism but get defeated by horrible nutrition. I’m guessing your diet consists of a lot of fast food, nachos, wings, pizza and booze. Even a fast metabolism cannot keep away the spare tire that results from eating the wrong foods at the wrong times.

The Metabolic Boost, Extreme and Overdrive programs (also known as the 3-day, 4-day and 5-day plans), along with the 84-day meal plans, will put your body back into hormonal balance so that you start melting off the fat and get your flat, ripped abdominals back in the shortest period of time.

Q: How fast will I achieve results?

A: That is totally up to you. If you follow all aspects of the program - most importantly the meal plans - you should notice mental and strength differences in the first 2-3 weeks!

I’ve had some clients drop 10 pounds in the first week, 10 pounds in the second week and then maintain a 2-4 pound drop until completion. This is in the case of a very obese individual. If you are starting between 200-400 pounds and are completely unfit then you’ll see changes more quickly than someone who is already lean and aiming to drop the last 10 pounds.

Your goal is to drop 1% body fat each and every week, and you may zigzag to your goal, meaning you drop a little faster or slower on certain weeks, but whenever you average out your overall weight loss you’re still on track. The majority of people will lose 1-3 pounds per week, which is 12-36 pounds every 12 weeks, or 24-72 pounds over six months, which is why I named the program, Your Six Pack Quest: 6 Pack in 6 Months! If you are not dropping at least 1% body fat each week then something is wrong and you need to apply the plateau-busting techniques I share in the book.

As the fat comes off you will be transforming into a brand new you, and a you that you can be proud of. You’ll be getting comments from friends and family; your confidence and pride will skyrocket; your outlook on life will change completely; you’ll be getting more stares from the opposite sex (and the same sex) and will become the person you’ve always dreamed of becoming.

It all comes back to the level of effort you put into the program. If you give it a half-hearted effort - expect to get half-hearted results. If you are truly committed to your goals and train hard then expect some exciting results!

Q: Will this program turn me into a bodybuilder? I don't want that...

A: Yes and no. When you say, 'that,' I'm assuming you are referring to the majority of steroid users on the cover of bodybuilding magazines.

Yes, it has the potential to make you look like a NATURAL bodybuilder - in combination with muscle-friendly genes, time and some very hard work. Remember, I used the same training tools I am equipping you with to earn first place at the Canadian Fitness Model Championships.

No, it will not turn you into a freaky looking bodybuilder. Unless you start spending $30,000 a year on steroids you will not casually or unintentionally turn huge. That's like saying, “Are you sure I won't turn into a pro golfer after a few lessons?'”

Remember, your body changes in small amounts, not huge amounts. There is no reason you cannot monitor the changes and progress your body is making to determine how lean you become.

A: Yes - it certainly does.

What’s the lesson here? Focus on being truly committed to your goals. How do I know that this program will work for you? I don't know.

You have to MAKE it work. DECIDE to make it work. Commit to becoming the person you want to be and then take action. You are in absolute control of where you go in life.

You will not fail because this is not like any other program you have tried.

However, if you want a more technical answer on the actual details of my program, here is some reassurance:

In the last five years I have studied and performed fat-loss programs in magazines, books and websites and I constantly see elements that make the programs weak.

Here is where most programs fail:

Q: Will I have to spend a fortune on supplements?

A: Absolutely not! I have already spent thousands of dollars on useless supplements (I have all the receipts to remind me to never waste that much money again). As you know, the supplement industry is a billion dollar industry and filled with lies, empty promises and a despicable amount of deceitful advertising. This is not to say ALL supplements are useless, but there are far more useless ones than effective ones.

If we were living during the time of Adam and Eve you would have needed absolutely no supplements whatsoever. But since our food supply is so deficient - 86% of the top farmlands in the US are already depleted of minerals necessary for optimum health - I certainly recommend a small handful of products that will help combat the effects of free radical build-up, joint protection and reduce inflammation in the body.

In other words it is impossible to eat right in North America unless you grow all your food in soils rich in all 70 minerals, don't overcook them and drink only spring water etc.

In my book I will teach you which supplements should be mandatory and well worth your money. And I will tell you which ones are a waste of time.

Q: I am very busy! How long and often will I need to train?

A: My 'Your Six Pack Quest' Program was built around achieving maximum results with a minimal amount of time. The same applies for my No-Nonsense Muscle Building Program. When testing out optimum training frequencies I discovered phenomenal results - especially for natural trainees - could be achieved from as few as two easy weight-training sessions each week. Some of my workouts will take you 15 minutes and the most advanced ones can take up to 75 minutes max.

Anyone who tells you that you can get a six-pack by training only three times a week for 30 minutes, is misleading you. I don’t know any physique that was built with only 90 minutes of training each week. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re a complete beginner and have not worked out in years then this is where you will start but get ready to increase your workout days and length as you can get fitter and more serious.

Let me say though, don't turn this into a contest to see how many days you can work out in a week. Most people train more than necessary. This is about training smart and efficient - not long and stupid. On the flip side - if you think training three to four times a week is too much and you can't “find the time,” then I have to question how serious you are about your goals - and this might not be the program for you.
